Listen to Beyoncé’s new song “Spirit,” from The Lion King

Beyoncé has dropped “Spirit,” a new song she wrote and produced for the upcoming Lion King remake that she stars in. “Spirit” is set to appear in The Lion King ("in a pivotal scene," according to a press release) as well as on its companion soundtrack and the Beyoncé-produced compilation album The Lion King: The Gift.

Earlier today, it was announced that Beyoncé had curated The Gift, a new compilation of music inspired by The Lion King by a selection of Beyoncé’s favourite African artists. The Gift is set to be released on July 19th. Listen to “Spirit” below.
