BBY Goyard embodies a phantom on his latest single
“Tarot Card” is the ideal background music for a trip to the carnival.
Coming off the release of his Depth Perception EP, BBY Goyard is back with a new single, “Tarot Card.” Father Blaze and SKAWB handle production, laying down a minimal, thunderous beat centered around a key-loop. To sum it up in a way that would upset the oldheads, the instrumental sounds like electro Zaytoven. Goyard himself is pitched up and floats around the production like a ghost. His verse would not be out of place as a sampled vocal track on a dubstep song. “The beat sounds like a circus or some sort of carnival so I wanted to give the feeling of a late night being stuck in one,” Goyard told The FADER over the phone.
