Oneohtrix Point Never reportedly set to score Adam Sandler movie Uncut Gems
The upcoming film is the latest from Good Time directors the Safdie Brothers.
Oneohtrix Point Never's pulsating Good Time score is one of modern cinema's most enduring releases and it appears the producer is teaming up with directors The Safdie Brothers on their next movie. According to Film Music Reporter, Daniel Lopatin will provide the score for Uncut Gems, "an electrifying crime thriller" about New York City jeweler Howard Ratner, played by Adam Sandler.
News of the movie's score is unconfirmed at the time of writing, though both the Safdies and Lopatin have hinted at their latest collaboration in tweets posted after Film Reporter's news story was published over the weekend. The FADER has reached out for comment.
In addition to Sandler, The Weeknd will also appear in Uncut Gems alongside LaKeith Stanfield, Idina Menzel, and Judd Hirsch. The movie is set to premiere at this year's Toronto International Film Festival in September.
