It’s a miracle! Missy Elliott — sorry, Doctor Missy Elliott — one of pop music’s all-time most significant figures, has released her first new record in 14 years. Her seventh studio record, Iconology follows a series of teases of new music from the rapper, songwriter and producer, as well as a collaboration with Lizzo called “Tempo.” This Monday, Missy will receive MTV's controversially-named Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award.
