Taylor Swift announces Lover Fest in L.A. and Boston, her only two U.S. concert dates of 2020
Taylor is bringing Lover on the road, but not to middle America.
Taylor Swift is taking Lover on the road. Today, the pop star announced the first tour dates behind her newest record, a European summer festival run from late June through early July. Later that month, she'll perform in Sao Paulo before returning stateside for two weekend-long festivals: Lover Fest West, and Lover Fest East, which will take place in Los Angeles and Boston, respectively.
"I want to go to some places I haven’t been, and play festivals for the first time in ages," Swift wrote in an Instagram post. "Where we didn’t have festivals, we made some." According to a press release, the two festivals will mark "her only U.S. concert dates in 2020," which essentially means she's avoiding middle America entirely during the initial Lover album cycle — unless she plans to tour the album in 2021.
