London’s Lava La Rue welcomes you to Lavaland in her “Stitches” video
Watch a new visual for the rapper’s mixtape tracks “Twenny Four” and “Biscuit.”
Rising London-based rapper Lava La Rue offers a window into her creative world in a new visual named after her latest mixtape Stitches. The video, set to mixtape tracks "Twenny Four" and "Biscuit," catches the young artist running around her local area, hanging with friends and purchasing an old-school video camera. She then takes this camera and hits a house party, downing rum and partying into the night.
Speaking about the video, Lava told The FADER: "I came to my director pal (and mad genuis) Greedy Goons and wanted to make a visual with him that could aesthetically capture the sounds of my Stitches tape. There's songs on it that represent the sunny beautiful energy that London can bring and others that represent the darkness that dwells in the city too, so we made a video that has a contrast of day going into night. It's like 24 hours in the eyes of Lava."
Stitches, released today (September 18), features the previously released songs "TLSL," "Moschino in 83" and is streaming now. She has also announced a brand new U.K. and Europe tour. Tickets are available from Friday, September 20. See below for dates.
