Watch PJ Morton’s powerful “Don’t Let Go”
Morton says he wrote the track as a “modern hymn.”
PJ Morton released the visuals for his latest single "Don't Let Go," a powerful video that shines a light on depression and soulfully speaks to personal perseverance through hard times. The intimate record, the latest single from his album PAUL, is one of Morton's most stripped-down, featuring only his own vocals and vocoder. Despite its minimalist production, the soulful record is still sonically rich.
"'Don't Let Go' I wrote as a modern hymn," Morton says about the track in a statement. "Growing up in church we sang hymns to help us feel better and encourage us. I realize that today so many people are going through things." Morton is also set to go on tour starting next month across the U.S., U.K. and Europe, for which you can see all the dates here.
