Lord Huron announce feature-length Vide Noir film
And it’s not just an average visual album.
Indie folk stars Lord Huron have announced Vide Noir, a new feature-length film exploring the world of their album of the same name, directed by Ariel Vida. A press release stresses that Vide Noir is “by no means a mere visual album,” describing it as a neo-noir mystery set in 60s LA “chronicling a surreal, nocturnal journey through the lens of a space-and-time bending drug.” The film was written by the band’s Ben Schneider, and features re-arranged versions of the band’s music throughout. The film will feature Goldfinch actress Ashleigh Cummings, and will be released in early 2020. Vide Noir will comprise the final portion of Lord Huron’s album campaign.
