Lady Gaga to star in a Ridley Scott-directed movie about the Gucci murder
She’ll play Patrizia Reggiani, who was tried and convicted of orchestrating the death of her husband, Maurizio Gucci.
Following her Oscar-nominated performance in the 2018 remake of A Star Is Born, Lady Gaga has announced her next movie role. She'll star in a Ridley Scott-directed adaptation of Sara Gay Forden's book The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed. Gaga will play Patrizia Reggiani, the widow of the alte fashion house head Maurizio Gucci (whom she hired an assassin to kill back in 1995). It'll be the second time Gaga and Scott have worked together — back in 2012, he produced the trailer for her perfume, Fame.
There's still no word as to when Lady Gaga is releasing her sixth studio album, but she's been in the studio with BloodPop, SOPHIE, and Boys Noize (who recently told us of the time she spilled water on his modular synth).
