Beyoncé denies Las Vegas residency rumors
Say goodbye to your dreams of Yonce on the strip.
Rumors circulating that Beyoncé is preparing a Las Vegas residency to debut in 2020 have been unequivocally denied by her team. The rumors began around Saturday after the website LoveBScott posted an article stating that the singer, who has not embarked on a headline tour since 2016’s Formation World Tour, was looking to headline a residency on the strip that would have made her the highest-paid performer in Vegas. Today, a representative for the singer told Variety that the rumors are “absolutely not true,” meaning that stans will have to wait a little while longer to see Beyoncé setting up shop doors down from Lady Gaga’s Enigma residency.
Despite her lack of touring, Beyoncé has still been busy: this year, she debuted the Netflix documentary Homecoming, as well as a live album of the same name, and also curated and performed on much of Disney's Lion King soundtrack, titled The Gift.
