Midoca is trying to let go in his “Dry The Rose” video
For when you want to move on from a breakup.
The music from Los Angeles-based artist Midoca can be linked to his life at an almost painfully exact 1:1 ratio. He's undergone personal struggles with his family and as a result, others, but is finding solace through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and writing his own music. His latest video for "Dry The Rose" is sign of that progress.
The cinematic production from Midoca and metaphor of drying a rose comes to life in the Hunter Lyon-directed video. Lyon relayed in an email how he tried to visually capture the melancholy lyrics of getting over a significant other: "Using extremely dramatic zooms ended up doing that; they feel vast yet also give this feeling of separation and distance."
"Dry The Rose" comes off of Midoca's EP of the same name. You can purchase merch inspired by his two EPs on his site.
