Chloe Lilac pours her heart out in “Here’s Your Song” video
Here, take it. She finally wrote a song about you.
Wherever you are, mystery person, Chloe Lilac still remembers the tattoo she gave you, the day you got out of rehab, and all of the guilt you made her feel when you were together. In the gloomy Jasper Soloff-directed video for her single "Here's Your Song," she's feeling vulnerable at a party and looking emotionally distraught over the old flame.
In an email, the Brooklyn singer explained the emotions behind the hook, "Instead of loving me, you just wanted a song about you": "We used a sex doll to symbolize only being viewed for my sexuality rather than my character as a woman. In the beginning of the video it’s just me, symbolizing how alone and uncomfortable I felt, and by the end I’m with all my friends who supported and uplifted me."
"Here's Your Song" comes off her upcoming sophomore EP, which is due spring 2020.
