Beyoncé signs exclusive publishing deal with Sony/ATV
The singer has signed a deal with the world’s largest publishing company.
Beyoncé has reportedly signed an exclusive publishing deal with Sony/ATV Music Publishing, according to Variety.
Sony/ATV Music Publishing CEO Jon Platt has worked closely with both Beyoncé and Jay-Z during the course of their careers, so this move makes sense. Most recently, Platt also signed Rihanna to a worldwide deal after moving on from Warner/Chappell last year. Sony/ATV boasts millions of copyrights as the largest music publisher in the world, including everyone from Taylor Swift and Pharrell Williams to Frank Sinatra and Marvin Gaye.
Meanwhile, Beyoncé continues to excel in her endeavors both within and outside of music, including the most recent launch of her Ivy Park collaboration with Adidas. At press time, all of the items are sold out across online retailers but select pieces may still be available at locations like official Adidas stores, Nordstrom's, Bloomingdale's, Finish Line and Foot Locker.
