Ultra Music Festival Miami cancelled over coronavirus fears
The Miami mayor called for the event to be postponed.
Ultra Music Festival, one of the largest pop and EDM festivals in the world, has announced that this year’s event will not go ahead, due to fears over the spread of coronavirus. The announcement, first reported by the Miami Herald comes after Miami Mayor Francis Suarez called for the event to be postponed, and is one of the largest coronavirus-related event cancellations thus far. Per the Herald, the festival will be postponed until 2021. An official announcement regarding the cancellation has not yet been made, due to “legal issues” around the decision. Ultra Music Festival Miami was set to take place later this month at Bayfront Park, and was set to feature Flume, Gesaffelstein, Major Lazer, Zedd, Afrojack, Armin Van Burren, DJ Snake, Carl Cox, and more.
