Brussels-based artist Lous and The Yakuza shared the powerful clip for her latest single "Solo" on Friday. The track serves as the third from her upcoming debut project, Gore, set to drop sometime this year.
Directed by Wendy Morgan and Kevin Bago, the clip sees Lous dancing around an empty studio, contemplating her plight with each deliberate movement. "Must I scream to be heard," she asks on the track. From soft and graceful to frantic and urgent, the choreography is a reflection of the song's core message: a continued fight and unmatched resilience. "I wrote this song thinking about the loneliness that all my people, Black people, still have to face because of the hate we received and (are) still receiving," she wrote in an Instagram caption. "We still gotta fight to be heard and that's a fucking shame."
