The 10 new albums you should stream right now
Spend your time indoors blasting new music from Dua Lipa, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Waxahatchee, Skepta, Jasmine Infiniti, Snowy Band, Dirty Projectors, Knxwledge, Nicolas Jaar, Sorry, and more.
Every week, the FADER staff pulls together the best and most important albums for you to stream. Here they are, in no particular order.
Dua Lipa, Future Nostalgia
Dua Lipa is entering her imperial period and Future Nostalgia is the album likely to elevate her to pop's A-list. We've already heard the super fun and '80s-aping "Physical" as well as lead single "Don't Start Now" and INXS-interolating "Break My Heart." Expect more retro bangers from the Londoner's second album to tide you over until clubs open again. — David Renshaw

Jasmine Infiniti, BXTCH SLÄP
Revered underground techno DJ Jasmine Infiniti has dropped her debut album BXTCH SLÄP. An 80-minute journey into the most delightfully hellish corners of industrial techno, BXTCH SLÄP is arriving at the right time for the — presumably large — portion of Infiniti’s fanbase that wishes they could go to the club this weekend. A record about “personal myth-building and claiming your space as a queer person,” BXTCH SLÄP is here to help you lose your mind a little this weekend. — Shaad D’Souza
Snowy Band, Audio Commentary
The 11-track debut from Melbourne four-piece Snowy Band is spacious and meditative, featuring dry, moonlit takes on lounge music (“Edge of the Weekend”) and 60s Christian folk (“East West,”) in addition to indie-rock and jangle pop. Touching on enduring love, grief, and the malleability of time, with alternating doses of earnestness and cynicism Audio Commentary is vital, stirring. — SD (from ‘Snowy Band explore grief and corporate greed on “Never Change”’)

PARTYNEXTDOOR, PARTYMOBILE
PARTYNEXTDOOR has been pretty quiet in recent years but, then, if you wrote "Work" with Rihanna you're probably entitled to take some time off. PND returns with new project PARTYMOBILE, a release he has teased with recent singles "Loyal" and "The News." Expect similarly seductive moments from the OVO artist on his first project since 2016. — DR

Dirty Projectors, Windows Open EP
The latest from Dave Longstreth’s long-running Dirty Projectors project is a return to the female vocal-led compositions of the band’s earlier work. Featuring guitarist Maia Friedman singing lead on every track, it’s a compelling counter to Longstreth’s last record, Lamp Lit Prose. — SD

Waxahatchee, Saint Cloud
Katie Crutchfield changes things up on the fifth Waxahatchee album, moving away from the heavy textures of 2017's Out In The Storm in favor of a stripped-back country sound. Written in the wake of her decision to go sober, Saint Cloud was produced by Bon Iver collaborator Brad Cook and features Bonny Doon’s Bobby Colombo and Bill Lennox, as well as Josh Kaufman and Nick Kinsey, as her backing band. — DR

Knxwledge, 1988
Adored producer Knxwledge has returned with his new album 1988, out today on Stones Throw. Featuring the singles “dont be afraid” and “learn,” 1988 is named after the year of Knxwledge’s infancy when he crawled to a SP-12 sampler and tried to play. Featuring a collaboration with his NxWorries compatriot Anderson .Paak, 1988 is another warm, soulful chapter of Knxwledge’s output. — SD

Skepta, Chip, & Young Adz, Insomnia
Three of U.K. rap's biggest names come together for a joint project announced just this week. Skepta and Chip are grime royalty, having stuck by the genre through thick and thin, while Young Adz (one half of D-Block Europe) is a relative newcomer whose Codeine-laced melodies have made him a superstar in his home country. — DR

Sorry, 925
London band Sorry make scuzzy indie rock songs for moments of tenderness and largesse. Their debut album, released via Domino, is a collection of hedonistic bangers and lovelorn ballads (including "Right Round The Clock" and "More") stitched together with sleaze and beauty. Check out the band's recent Gen F profile now. — DR

Nicolás Jaar, Cenizas
Cenizas is electronic musician Nicolás Jaar's second album of the year following 2017 - 2019, a compilation released under his Against All Logic alias in January. Released via Other People label, Cenizas was preceded by new song "Sunder" and "represents Nicolás Jaar life and creative output from 2017 to 2019," according to a statement. It is the producer's first album under his own name since 2016's Sirens. — DR
