KAM-BU breaks down the details on how he’s been the same in his “Different” video
The West London rapper is joined by Lord Apex to explain how they’re part of the conscious youth but also ignant.
KAM-BU and Lord Apex are both focused. They might be concerned with slightly different things (earning a rep while partying with girls and recording big tunes, respectively), but that's how they've always been. Over jazzy production from DJ Pullen that is reminiscent of the anime Cowboy Bebop, the two artists go into detail on their consistent lifestyles that separates them from everyone else.
The Milo Blake-directed video sticks to moody black and white while making use of camera tricks and a slow pan to keep things moving like KAM-BU's schedule of hitting the streets then the studio, and repeat.
In an email, KAM-BU explained how the song translated into the visuals: "The video is an abstract representation of the track itself and has undertones that are striking and wonderful. A pleasant experience for the viewer to gauge a meeting of the minds in a physical way."
