Sade to release remastered back catalog as part of vinyl box set
This Far is due in October.
Sade have confirmed details of This Far, a vinyl box set featuring remastered versions of all six of their studio albums. The group, led by Sade alongside Stuart Matthewman, Andrew Hale, and Paul Spencer Denman, will release the box set on October 9.
The collection features Diamond Life (1984), Promise (1985), Stronger Than Pride (1988), Love Deluxe (1992), Lovers Rock (2000), and Soldier of Love (2010). Each album was remastered by the group at London's Abbey Road Studios alongside mastering engineer Miles Showell and the band’s longtime co-producer Mike Pela.
A press release announcing the box set states that the This Far title “suggests that the band’s studio work may not yet be fully complete.” In 2018 Sade released the singles "The Big Unknown" (a contribution to the Steve McQueen movie Widows) and "Flower of the Universe" (taken from Ava Duvernay's A Wrinkle In Time). Guitarist Matthewman hinted at the time that the group was working on a new album.
