Jónsi enlists Robyn on “Salt Licorice”
The Sigur Rós frontman teamed up with Robyn for his latest single.
Sigur Rós frontman and multi-instrumentalist Jónsi has shared his latest single "Salt Licorice" a new song featuring pop darling Robyn. The track is an electro-pop ode to what both artists call “Scandinavian pain.”
The colorful clip bounces between lyric-filled text conversations, a masked dancer, and Jónsi himself shaving his own head, all scenes that look familiar in a socially-distanced world. "'Salt Licorice' is such a cute and perfect pop song. It makes me want to dance violently and make out at the same time," Robyn said about the song in a statement. "It was a no-brainer to say yes to singing it with Jónsi."
The track serves as the fouth single from his upcoming album Shiver, out this Friday. Back in April, Jónsi shared the track "Exhale," his first solo release since his 2010 album Go, followed by "Swill," and "Cannibal."
