Watch Megan Thee Stallion, The Weekend, and more’s AMAs 2020 performances
BTS, Lil Baby, and Dua Lipa also performed at this year’s ceremony.
The American Music Awards took place at Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater on Sunday night, November 22. The ceremony was hosted by Taraji P. Henson and featured a limited audience and many pre-recorded performances in adherence to COVID-19 guidelines.
Among those who performed live were a bandaged up The Weeknd (complete with a Kenny G cameo), Megan Thee Stallion debuting a knee-busting "Body" and Dua Lipa quite literally levitating during her rendition of the Future Nostalgia song of the same name.
Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, and Dan + Shay were the top winners on the night, taking home three awards each. Swift was named Artist of the Year while Doja Cat was named New Artist of the Year. Nicki Minaj won two AMAs for Favorite Female Rap Artist and Favorite Latin Song for Karol G collaboration “Tusa." A full winners list can be found here.
