Gorillaz to play three virtual live shows, Song Machine Live From Kong
The virtual band will be joined by live musicians and special guests.
Virtual band Gorillaz announced they will be playing a series of three live shows from Kong Studios on December 12th and 13th. The shows will blend real-time performance with the band's signature animation. In addition to the group's 14-piece band, some still-unnamed special guests will make appearances.
The performances, described as an "immersive, one-of-a-kind, Gorillaz HQ lock-in" in a release, will feature songs from the band's most recent album Song Machine Season One: Strange Timez along with other favorites.
Tickets can be purchased for a single show for £15 or all three for £30, with those who purchase four tickets being able to watch the show with three friends in a virtual party room. For tickets and official Song Machine Live From Kong showtimes, visit gorillazlivenow.com.
Back in October, band co-creator Damon Albarn shared that an animated Gorillaz movie was in the process of being written.
