Report: Trump expected to pardon Lil Wayne
Weezy pleaded guilty to illegal possession of a firearm in 2020.
Lil Wayne is expected to appear on a list of 50 to 100 commutations and pardons issued by President Donald Trump before leaving office this week, according to Fox News.
Sources have told Fox that the pardons will likely happen on Tuesday in one large batch and made official by Wednesday morning. The list reportedly includes Lil Wayne, who plead guilty last year to illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon after traveling to Florida via private jet with a loaded handgun in 2019. The rapper faces a maximum of 10 years in prison and, barring the pardon, is scheduled to appear for sentencing on January 28.
Weezy showed his support for Donald Trump late last year during the recent presidential elections.
