Pretty Sick’s “Devil In Me” video is messy AF

The New York band shares the first taste of its new Comedown EP, due this summer.

New York group Pretty Sick like to turn the distortion up to the max for their grungey brand of rock, calling to mind both the early '90s and 2000s; boom periods for guitar bands with whom they share a love of melody and dirt. Today the band, fronted by Sabrina Fuentes, shares new song "Devil In Me" ahead of the June 17 release of new EP Comedown via Dirty Hit Records.

Speaking to The FADER via email, Fuentes said explains that"'Devil In Me' is kind of about being in a relationship with someone who brings out the worst in you, but you really enjoy it.” That much is clear from the opening line when she sings "Devil in me likes the devil in you" before going to ask; "I know I'm making a mistake but what can I do?" Set to a riff that, depending on your age may spark memories of Nirvana or The Vines, Pretty Sick build the idea of a doomed romance into messy free-for-all.

This energy is carried through in the "Devil In Me" video, premiering above. It catches Fuentes alongside her bandmates (including drummer Austin Williamson, also a member of Onyx Collective) as they party with friends, drinking, freaking out, setting shit alight, and generally causing chaos. It's the Pretty Sick way.
