Tyler, The Creator directs Converse ad starring Vince Staples, Henry Rollins, and more
“Everyone wears Chucks…including pirates.”
Tyler, The Creator has collaborated with Converse to direct a new advertisement for the brand. In the hilarious clip, the exclusive "Really Cool Converse Club" convenes for a meeting over its strict set of rules, with members including Vince Staples, Henry Rollins, Odd Future member Jasper, former NBA players Bill Walton and Marques Johnson, actor Tim Meadows and more, all representing the many subcultures who rock the sneaker.
“I instantly thought about the many pockets of people that wear Chucks – like skateboarders, soccer moms, kids down the street, guys in the neighborhood I grew up with – and I wanted to put them in one place, that was important to me," Tyler said about the ad in a press release. "Everyone wears Chucks…including pirates.”
Most recently, Tyler's latest album Call Me If You Get Lost debuted at No. 1 earlier this month, and has produced a number of singles including "LUMBERJACK," "WUSYANAME," "CORSO," and "LEMONHEAD."
