Her first original solo song since 2020’s Punisher is out on April 15.
Phoebe Bridgers will share a new song called "Sidelines" on April 15. The release date for the song was revealed on Tuesday in an Instagram post containing a trailer for Conversations With Friends, the upcoming BBC/Hulu adaptation of the latest novel by Sally Rooney (Normal People). A snippet of the new song can be heard in the trailer, streaming below.
"Sidelines" will be Bridgers' first new original song since her 2020 album Punisher, one of our favorite projects of the year. Since then she's shared Copycat Killer a four-track EP of Punisher reinterpretations, teamed up with her boygenius bandmates Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus for "Favor," covered Bo Burnham's "That Funny Feeling," and performed on "Silk Chiffon" by MUNA, a pop group singed to her label Saddest Factory. After her performance at COachella this weekend, she'll head out on a massive tour.
