Pharrell reveals lineup for Something In The Water Festival 2022
Lil Uzi Vert, Tyler The Creator, Davido, Baby Tate, Chloe x Halle, Ashanti & Ja Rule, and many more will perform at the Washington, D.C. festival on June 17-19, 2022
Pharrell's Something In The Water Festival is returning for 2022. The three-day event will take place June 17–19 at Independence Ave. in Washington, D.C. General sale tickets will be available Saturday, April 30 at 10 a.m. local time here.
Pharrell himself will headline the festival with an ensemble act called "Pharrell & Phriends." The rest of the event's lineup, out today, is quite varied: Some standout names include Tyler, The Creator, Lil Uzi Vert, Davido, Ashanti & Ja Rule, Chloe x Halle, Baby Tate, Mariah The Scientist, Rae Sremmurd, Teyana Taylor, Tierra Whack, and Dave Matthews Band.
Something In The Water originally took place in Virginia Beach. Its 2020 and 2021 editions were canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, and in October Pharrell announced that the festival would not return to the city due to conduct by police and city officials in the wake of the death of his cousin, Donovan Lynch, who was killed by police. "I love my city," he wrote, "but for far too long it has been run by and with toxic energy."
