Thundercat announces 2022 North American tour dates
The virtuoso bassist will share the stage with the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Khruangbin this summer.
Thundercat has announced a string of North American tour dates for Summer 2022. The new dates are in addition to his previously announced opening stint with the Red Hot Chili Peppers, who will embark on a global tour later this year. Tickets for Thundercat's extensive summer tour go on sale Friday (May 6) at 10 a.m. local time and will be available for purchase here.
Earlier this year, Thundercat made his acting debut in the Disney+ Star Wars series The Book of Boba Fett. In December 2021, he shared a new song "Satellite," which appeared on the soundtrack of the final season of Issa Rae's Insecure. Thundercat's most recent album, It Is What It Is, was released in 2020 and won Best Progressive R&B Album at the 2021 Grammy Awards.
