Why Bonnie announce debut album 90 In November, release title track
90 In November arrives on August 19.
Why Bonnie has been generating buzz for a while, with three EPs under their belt. But now they’re ready to release their debut LP. The album, 90 In November, will be out on August 19 via Keeled Scales. With the news of the album, Why Bonnie has shared its title track.
“90 In November” is a blissful track that feels like a ray of sunshine, perfect for the incoming summer. Its lyrics make reference to the band’s move from Houston, Texas to New York City, as lead singer Blair Howerton sings, “Cardboard cut out cowboy / Waving my goodbye / Still it seems / Like it doesn’t mean a thing.”
“I wanted to capture the bittersweet feeling of saying goodbye to the landscape that shaped you while still dealing with the anxieties of what lies ahead,” says Howerton about the song. “Nostalgia always hits with a flash of disjointed memories — like speeding down the highway or sweating in the Texas heat.”
The music video captures that summery, nostalgia-tinged essence, featuring the band enjoying a day in the outdoors, soaking in the wonders of the place they’d called home till now.
