Yeat made a song for the Minions soundtrack
Minions: The Rise of Gru features a song called “Rich Minion.”
Yeat has officially hit the "movie soundtrack" level of rap stardom in somewhat improbable fashion. The OST for the upcoming animated film Minions: The Rise of Gru will contain a new song from the Portland rage rapper. The track is called "Rich Minion," and it's just as ridiculous as the premise of Yeat writing a Minions song, which is no easy feat.
"I wrote a song for the Minions / How much they pay me? A million" Yeat raps in the hook of a pretty by-the-numbers Yeat song with the exception of its G-rated lyrics, Sadly, unlike "Shell Shocked" by Wiz Khalifa, Ty Dolla $ign, and Juicy J from the 2014 Ninja Turtles movies, "Rich Minions" contains no allusions to smoking weed or group sex. America truly has fallen. Watch the video, directed by Lyrical Lemonade's Cole Bennett with footage from the film, above.
