Beyoncé reveals Renaissance tour with charity auction tickets
Passes to a summer 2023 concert were sold at the 2022 Wearable Art Gala.
A charity auction held on Saturday (October 22) at the 2022 Wearable Art Gala sold two tickets to an unannounced Beyoncé tour behind her new album Renaissance, scheduled to take place in summer 2023, Rolling Stone reports. The FADER has reached out to Beyoncé's representative for more information.
No specific dates for the tour have been revealed. An attendee at the auction reportedly paid between $45,000 and $50,000 for the package that included the tickets, first-class travel on United Airlines, a three-night stay in a Marriott Hotel, and a backstage tour of the Beyoncé concert guided by her mother, Tina Knowles.
A video display at the auction read: “Valued at a total of $20,000, United [Airlines] x WACO offers you a chance to see Beyoncé on her ‘Renaissance’ tour starting in the summer of 2023 at any of United’s national and international destinations around the world." Beyoncé released Renaissance in July. It contains the single "Break My Soul," which peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. In August, Beyoncé removed an interpolation of Kelis's hit "Milkshake" after the singer criticized Beyoncé for not consulting her on its use.
