Watch SZA”s “Nobody Gets Me” music video
Her new album SOS came out today.
SZA's fantastic, just-released album SOS contains a lovely little Mazzy Star moment in "Nobody Gets Me," an acoustic ballad that could be the toxic sibling of "Fade Into You." That track got a set of visuals on Friday as the internet continued to digest SOS, and while the black-and-white clip is quite bare-bones (it's just SZA singing on some rooftops), so is the song, and it works really well. Check it out above.
SOS arrives five years after SZA's debut album Ctrl. She released the non-album single "Hit Different" in 2020, followed by the SOS tracks "Good Days," "Shirt," and "I Hate U." In late 2021 she shared three new songs including "I Hate U" via an anonymous SoundCloud account. This year she won the Best Pop Duo Performance Grammy for "Kiss Me More," her song with Doja Cat.
