Lana Del Rey’s “Candy Necklace” video is an homage to Classic Hollywood

Lana Del Rey has shared a video for her song “Candy Necklace” in which she plays the role of a number of Hollywood screen icons. Among them are Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Short, a.k.a The Black Dahlia. The nearly 11-minute video includes behind-the-scenes footage of Del Rey on set, speaking about her decision to appear as the women she is seen depicting. Check it out above.

“Candy Necklace” appears on Del Rey’s latest album, Did You Know That There’s A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd., which was released earlier this year. This summer, she will appear at festivals including Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, and All Things Go.
