That Mexican OT shares “Barrio,” announces Lonestar Luchador
The new single, featuring Mexican street rapper LeftySM, gets artist and fan hopped up on the same giddy multiculturalism.
A new release from That Mexican OT — short for "Outta Texas" — is met with a specific kind of praise. It's delivered bilingually via YouTube comments, half "Gassed fire! Homie you bleed lyrics!" and half "Le puse esta rola a mi abuela en su funeral y se levantó a subirle" ("I played this song for my grandmother at her funeral and she got up to upload it"). He's got his fans hopped up on the same giddy multiculturalism as he is.
On his new single "Barrio," featuring Mexican street rapper LeftySM, OT fully leans into the sonic territory he's staked for himself: a blend of Atlanta trap and regional Central American music. The song accompanies the announcement of his new album Lonestar Luchador, which is out July 28th on Manifest/Good Talk/Good Money Global. Check out the cockfight-themed music video for "Barrio" above.
