Black Mirror renewed for season 7
Charlie Booker’s dystopian sci-fi series will supposedly start production later this year.
Black Mirror is apparently set to return for a seventh season.
According to an exclusive report from Variety, Netflix has renewed Charlie Booker's Emmy Award-winning show for another round of dystopian drama. The outlet added that Booker will be back as the show's executive producer, alongside Annabel Jones and Jessica Rhoades. No further details were provided, except that production is slated to begin later this year.
This past June, Netflix released the show's highly anticipated sixth season after a four-year break. Per the streaming giant, Black Mirror season 6 was one of its top 10 English-speaking shows for 4 weeks, while also reaching the top 10 in 92 countries.
Since its 2011 debut, the tech horror thriller has included big Hollywood names like Jon Hamm, Salma Hayek, Aaron Paul, and Josh Hartnett. Season 5 also featured an episode starring Miley Cyrus as a pop star and her clone.
