YSL RICO trial co-defendent Shannon Stillwell stabbed before court appearance
Stillwell’s current medical status is unknown. He faces eight charges.
Shannon Stillwell, a co-defendant in the YSL RICO trial and inmate in the Fulton County Jail, was hospitalized Sunday evening (December 10) after being stabbed. The incident was first reported by WSB-TV on December 11 with the Fulton County Sherrif’s Office issuing a confirmation to The FADER. His current condition has not been revealed.
Stillwell is charged with eight violations of Georgia’s RICO Act, including one count each of murder and attempted murder. He is accused of killed a rival gang member named Donovan Thomas Jr. in a Castleberry Hill (Atlanta) barbershop alongside fellow YSL members Javaris Bradford, Justin Cobb, Deamonte Kendrick a.k.a. Yak Gotti, and Demise McMullen. A 14-year-old boy was injured in the shooting. Young Thug, who prosecutors have accused of being the ringleader of YSL, is alleged to have orchestrated the killing.
Stillwell’s stabbing caused the 10th day of the YSL RICO trial to be adjourned early Monday morning (December 11). On December 12, Judge Glanville announced that the entire trial would adjourn until January 2, 2024, due to Stillwell's "medical issue."
