Shannon & The Clams announce new album The Moon Is In The Wrong Place
The Dan Auerbach-produced album is due in May.
Shannon & The Clams have confirmed details of a new album titled The Moon Is In The Wrong Place and shared its title track. The album is produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys and is due for release on May 10 via Auerbach’s label Easy Eye Sound. In addition to the new music, the band has also announced a 2024 North American headline tour.
The Moon Is In The Wrong Place was written and recorded following the death of frontwoman Shannon Shaw’s fiancé, Joe Haener, in a car crash in August 2022. “We all felt the urgency of making something that reckoned with this meteor that smashed into our planet,” the band’s Will Sprott said in a statement. “This is the most focused record we’ve ever done, as far as everything coming from a singular traumatic event.”
Shannon & The Clams will tour The Moon Is In The Wrong Place soon after the album is released, playing shows in May and June. They will then go back out on the road in October. Tickets for all dates are available via pre-sale from January 26, with a general sale starting on the 31st. See below for venue and date details.
