Paramore share Talking Heads cover and SZA teases collaboration
The band’s take on “Burning Down The House” will appear on an upcoming A24 tribute album.
Paramore have released their version of the classic Talking Heads single "Burning Down the House." The cover is the first to be taken from Everyone’s Getting Involved, a tribute album put together by the indie film studio A24. Scroll down to hear Hayley Williams and co. fight fire with fire now.
Further details of Everyone’s Getting Involved, the title itself being a reference to the Talking Heads song "Girlfriend Is Better," were confirmed on Wednesday. Among the 16 artists contributing to the album will be Miley Cyrus, Lorde, Girl In Red, The National, BADBADNOTGOOD, and Teezo Touchdown. The album arrives after the 2023 re-release of the Talking Heads concert movie Stop Making Sense in theaters.
Meanwhile, SZA revealed this week that she has been working on new music with Paramore. Williams has praised the SOS singer in multiple interviews, telling Rolling Stone last year that, SZA is "that person where I feel like we could write any type of song, and it would be cool."
Speaking to Apple Music ahead of the Grammys this weekend, SZA confirmed the pair have made plans together. "Soon! Soon! It’s in the works," she said.
Paramore's latest album This Is Why was released last year. This summer they will open for Taylor Swift as her Eras Tour makes its way across Europe.
