Jane Schoenbrun’s new movie features original music from yeule and Alex G.
The first trailer for the upcoming A24 movie I Saw The TV Glow has been revealed. The movie premiered at this year's Sundance and received rave reviews. It is director Jane Schoenbrun's follow-up to We’re All Going to the World’s Fair and stars Justice Smith and Brigette Lundy-Paine, plus a few famous faces from the music world including Fred Durst and Phoebe Bridgers.
The official synopsis for the movie reads: "Teenager Owen (Smith) is just trying to make it through life in the suburbs when his classmate (Lundy-Paine) introduces him to a mysterious late-night TV show — a vision of a supernatural world beneath their own. In the pale glow of the television, Owen’s view of reality begins to crack."
Oscar-winner Emma Stone helped produce the movie, which is due in theaters on May 3. The trailer is soundtracked by yeule's cover of the Broken Social Scene song "Anthem of a Seventeen Year Old Girl." Other artists who have contributed music to the soundtrack include Alex G, Jay Som, and Snail Mail.
