Looking at the full version of this after having looped the trailer for two months, we can't help but notice the similarity of Little X's video to Andrew Dosunmu's photographs from Will Welch's feature in FADER 42. Then again, you do a photo or a video of Mavado in Cassava Piece and you're going to get a shot of him sitting on a spraypainted wall, so it's all good. Mavado is by far the most popular artist on iPod earphones turned up loud enough for us to hear on the subway, so it's good to see him doing videos of this quality and drama to match the music that convinced us to put him on the cover ten issues ago and continues to convince Jay-Z to do remixes like the one below.
