This is the month our coats have been waiting for. The depth of winter is when the coat comes out of the closet and shines, because really, it’s momentarily lost all function as an accessory. By now our coats are providing the canvas for colorful scarves, shoes, and purses or even becoming the central element of an ensemble, taking on eccentric shapes and movement. But for all the commotion of how our coat’s pattern, texture, length and angle will make or break our look, the act of keeping us warm has always been our favorite trend.
