By the looks of things, Tame Impala took a lot of time to record InnerSpeaker, and it was time well spent. "Solitude is Bliss" is the first single from the new record, and while we might wish that they spent the last couple years since we first heard about them messing around in the desert with acid or something, it turns out they were actually just putting together a really well recorded, intricate album of psych experiments and spacey trips. Now that it's getting warm again, there will probably be a lot of talk about beach music that sounds like a VHS tape literally made out of nostalgia and lost toys, but this song is an actual, no-fooling beaded curtain, nag champa permeated beachside-home jam and it is totally worth the wait.
