Between his show on Rinse.FM and awesome new album, London DJ/producer Roska has become a de facto ambassador for UK funky house, responsible for the genre's proliferation and evolution. But the ambassador title became quite literal a few weeks ago when he played his first-ever set to generally funky-barren New York City, delivering the warped and syncopated sound to fans who are used to only hearing him on podcasts. To mark the occasion, Roska came through our office to talk about his background, his new album and the cultural impact of Rinse, not just in London but all over the world.
