Pendleton's bevy of wares seem as old as America itself, spun with the threads that myths are made of and inherited through familial generations and thrift stores, but Jay Carroll of One Trip Pass has revealed the beautiful Wizard of Oz behind Pendleton's Emerald City factory. Carroll took some remarkable footage of the Portland mill that's been weaving Native American blankets since 1909, and endless shots of color and texture are almost as satisfying as being wrapped in one of their blankets. If anything, knowing the intricate tricks behind a Pendleton blanket only makes us want one more more.
