On Valentine's Day 2011, you will find a certain breed of man extremely aroused, almost incapable of hiding his excitement. He will be dressed in frumpy jeans, sneakers and sporty jacket of some kind. He'll be in his 30s and either single or paired with a nice gal or guy of similar aesthetic. He'll think for a couple seconds about flowers, chocolates or maybe a nice dinner. But then he'll go back to refreshing the internet to see if he can download the new Mogwai album yet, which releases on February 15th. "Rano Pano" is one of the reasons hearts will be broken by the band's new album, Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will*. It's one of the driving, riffier songs and a good counterpoint to the closer, "You're Lionel Richie," which features vocals from the former Commodores frontman. No wait, it's an instrumental. Sorry. Still good though. The album will be the band's first on Sub Pop, and there will be a massive tour in support, the dates for which you can check after the jump.
