After spending the holiday's doing whatever he pleased, Waka Flocka walked himself down to the Henry County Sheriff's office yesterday evening, "because he wanted to do the right thing and didn't want to run," according to his mom Debra Antney. Flocka, government name Juaquin Malphurs, was booked on a stack of charges stemming from the police raid of his home on December 16th last year. The cops found less than one ounce of weed and some hydrocodone (regular suburban mommy boudoir fare) but also a handful of guns. Dude also forgot to renew his drivers license and was charged with violating Georgia's dubious Street Gang and Terror Prevention Act, a vague law that leaves it to the discretion of prosecutors to treat any grouping of people as a 'gang' and makes it makes it admissible/easy to establish punishable links between gang members and to present separate criminal acts as broad patterns of criminal behavior in court. Waka's mentor Gucci Mane, who was at his house while the cops ran through it, is locked up now, too. If he's found guilty of violating his probation, he'll be back inside for 17 months.
