Dr Dre Still Claims To Be Promoting an Album, Will Share Grammy Shine with Eminem

February 10, 2011

Overnight, Billboard and then CNN announced on twitter that Dr. Dre will join Eminem onstage at the Grammys this Sunday evening. Dre hasn't performed on television in over a decade, work for his alleged album Detox started in 2003. They duo will join already slated telecast programming that includes Usher performing with cultural signifier Justin Bieber and Jaden Smith (Willow you mad?), and B.O.B. performing with Bruno Mars and Janella Monae. The last time we saw Mathers and Dre perform together was at the 1999 VMA's at Radio City in New York, we've rewound the memory five times already this morning: fall in the grass faster than the fat man who sat down too fast, it's so much better than we remembered. Lars Ulrich, at the deepest pit of his loosing anti-Napster tantrum, introduced them. Eminem went first, skinny and swimming in a dress-tee under weepy navy sweats scrawled the world "Role Model" in blinking LEDs. Marshall says "I don't give a damn, Dre sent me to tick the world off!" Then he turns off the phrase on his hoodie and Dre comes out. They rap "Guilty Conscience" in each other faces on a platform till Snoop appears. He waves his arms like wings and his outfit is unique, he looks not a day older or younger than he does right now.
