When it comes to browsing the internet, you're only as good as your searching/key word skillz. If you don't have the phrasing right, quotation marks aren't going to help you. This is especially the case when vintage shopping on Ebay. Understanding some trending topics (#!) at the savvier vintage ebay boutiques can help. Here are some tips for better-naming what you're after.
#Avant Garde
Searching "avant garde" is basically a euphemism for finding kinda weird proportions, cuts and prints from the 60s, 70s, and 80s and wearing them likes it's a new Bernhard Willhelm.
This puff-sleeved number does double duty by also tapping into the chiffon pleat trend we'll be seeing a lot of this spring/summer.
Or this check-stripe linen dress with raglan sleeves.
#Peg, Harem, or Trouser Pant
This is a divisive style, but everyone is tiring of skinny pants (that aren't paneled). The voluminous chiffon, printed pants that are all the rage this spring are a testament to high rise of the harem/hammer-ish pant.
These muted, striped peg pants could definitely become into a summer staple.
#Slouch
Don't dress like a slouch, just search for "slouch." This is a wide-ranging genre that encompasses an attitude as much as it does a style.
This shirt, though great, isn't overly slouchy, but it can be worn with a slouchy attitude. It also happens to cross into another favorite (though growing increasingly tired) sub-genre #aztec
#Bodycon
If you like Nasty Gal, then search "bodycon"
