Nardwuar is an epic geek from Vancouver, BC, Canada who's been interviewing bands since 1986. His shtick is stupid clothes and an awful voice. He structures his conversations around gifts he brings for performers that evidence how much he knows about what they'd like to talk about—it's a generous strategy, and usually successful. When Tyler,internet child, met Nardwuar last week, he seemed genuinely taken aback by the depth of dude's research. They talked about bacon, Jason Dill, barfing, Alan Tew, James Pants and Roy Ayers. When the camera finally pans over to the rest of the road-crew, also hanging out on this Austin roof, Tyler introduces Left Brain as KRS-One and Syd as Frenchie 1017.
