This came out a few weeks ago, but is worth the late look. "Private Dancer" is produced by Jim Jonsin, American Idol judge, former Miami bass producer and the dude who made the potential song of the summer, Kelly Rowland's "Motivation." This could be a runner up. Jonsin's on a tear through aggressive minimalism, dark keys and 1000BPM hi-hats nestled deep in the beat. Lloyd, with his voice of high grit and expensive sleaze, lazes easily. I know it's the year of the lover, but all I want to do is get freaky tonight, he sings, nonchalant and point blank, which makes you believe he deserves it, proof that behind every great actor are good lines and a visionary director.
