This Week in The FADER: June 26, 2011 Edition

June 26, 2011

** We ran into Drake in Brooklyn! He told us the official single from Take Care will drop sooner, not later. He's playing generous in the meantime—this week releasing his own version "Trust Issues" and, finally, a collaboration with The Weeknd. Hear them go in together here.

** We made Felipe Delerme's cover feature on Soulja Boy, from FADER #74, available online. Read it now.

** We released the FADER #74 podcast, a free mix of jams from all the artists in our Summer Music Issue (Soulja Boy! Grimes! Clams Casino! Little Dragon! Vybz Kartel!) that will tide you over all season long.

** We broke down Bon Iver's excellent second album, by the numbers.

** Diplo and Switch played true to form on Major Lazer’s remix of the Beastie Boys/Santigold collab “Don’t Play No Game That I Can’t Win.”

** The-Dream produced a badass Yamaha beat for Beyonce!

** Lacoste made the perfect uniform for the upcoming Bastille Day and Independence Day, not to mention the many other nations with red, white and blue tones on their flag: Cambodia, Chile, Cuba, The Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.

** Smoke DZA released "Loaded," a Lex Luger produced song with Domo Genesis, where he brags about weed so much that he takes on a King of the Dorm Room quality that is hard to deny.
